As a trucking tax preparation company we know that trucking, while exciting, is stressful. That is why last week we gave you More De-Stressers From Total Truck Support. This week we are giving you even more tips to help you de-stress. An additional de-stresser can come from knowing that Total Truck Support has you covered for all your trucking tax and compliance needs!
1. When feeling stressed, most people tend to breathe in short, shallow breathes. When you breathe like this, stale air is not expelled, oxidation of the tissues is incomplete, and muscle tension frequently results. Check your breathing throughout the day, and before, during and after high pressure situations. If you find your stomach muscles are knotted and your breathing is shallow, relax all your muscles and take several deep, slow breaths. Note, how when you’re relaxed your abdomen and chest expand when you breathe.
2. When the stress of having to get a job done gets in the way of getting the job done, diversion – a voluntary change in activity and/or enrollment – may be just what you need.
3. Don’t forget to take breaks. Try to get away from your truck in body and mind, even if it’s just 15 or 20 minutes.
If you suffer from stress, try the above steps and keep an eye out for more ways to avoid stress next week. In the meantime, let us help you avoid the stress of focusing on your trucking taxes. Contact us today for all of your trucking income tax preparation and tax filing needs.
